I am a licensed New York State certified clinical, social work psychotherapist and hypnotherapist who received her Masters in Social Work from City University of New York, Hunter College in Manhattan. Afterwards, I went on for four more years of post-graduate training at the American Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis also in NYC. I have been in private practice with individuals and couples since 1984.
Once I became interested in the field of clinical hypnosis, I trained in Phoenix, Arizona at the Milton H. Erickson Foundation. The focus of Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy is to create a clear vision of how one wants to be in the future and develop one’s resources and experiences toward that end. I use eclectic approaches to tailor my interventions in order to match the unique qualities and beliefs of each individual, often incorporating hypnosis and other strategic methods. During my 30+ years as a private practitioner, I have also been a trainer, presenter, workshop leader and consultant.
As the field of coaching began to emerge, I went on to train with the Coach University in Colorado and founded the Center for Performance Coaching. As a life coach, I have helped numerous executives, entrepreneurs, and other individuals achieve great success in fields such as communications, publishing, finance, design, food service, health care, retail, sports and the performing arts.
